In an attempt to find something to finish the "office" and balance the mass of stuff on the opposite wall, I bought these frames. The green chair will eventually be reupholstered! Although I really wanted the pair of these chairs in front of the fireplace, they look really crammed there, and now that the frames are on the wall, the chair actually looks good there!
Here's the whole thing...
That carpet will not be there. Although it looks like it matches in the picture, the yellow is much more green and clashes. There needs to be something at the end of the bed if the chairs aren't there, and I think a runner this size is just enough visually without actually adding something in the way.
and the "office"...
But my new dilemma is the paint color. Although I like it, I feel like all the accessories ended up matching too closely. I have always said it borders feeling like a McDonalds, but Jim said he liked it, so I never changed it. I came across an old inspiration picture I had pulled a long time ago from Domino and now I think I'm on a blue kick...

Essentially nothing would change but the paint color. The room would have more contrast as the orange accessories would stand out against the blue background.
These are the color options:

These are all benjamin moore paints and I have samples of both the quiet moments and the palladian blue. I am not 100% sold on either yet so I'm going to make a run for the yarmouth blue. Although I like the palladian blue, I am nervous that it is too close to the homestead green in the master bathroom already...

Hopefully when I put the yarmouth blue sample up I'll love it and this won't be an issue...
Any suggestions, do you think this is a horrible idea? Let me know...
I like those blues a lot, but you know me; I love blue! I like how Nala is sitting regally at the end of the bed in one of the pics.
