YELLOW&GRAY

So, after last week's post, and talking to mom... the issue was not the swing merry go round, it was the yellow and gray! Now, I have grabbed a bunch of yellow and gray pictures from other websites and bloggers that I unfortunately can no longer source, so just know, I am not claiming this pictures as mine, just wonderful inspiration!

Let's take a look:
The picture on the left is a beautiful calm yellow and gray. The right is a big bolder.

Here are some paper versions. These remind you of why yellow and gray seem to fit so perfectly... gold and silver... an obvious choice for me, since my engagement ring is two toned with a yellow diamond!

Here are some clothing with the lovely yellow and gray trend... I love this gap sweater, I wear it almost every other day!

I don't need to convince myself of the success of the yellow and gray combination, that's for sure. What I do still need to figure is what the best way to combine these colors within a small, windowless guest room is.

If you look at the left and right clothing pics, they both also contain blue! This could make the yellow and gray combination a little bit more gentle...

Solids or patterns?
I seem to always lean towards solids, but could mixing in a grey and white pattern work? Well, we'll see what we find at the fabric store when we get to that project...

How bout this...
Grey paint, white upholstered headboard, pale blue pillows, yellow quilt on white sheets and a yellow patterned rug. Lookin good!
